Imagining what a contemporary man needs, we bridged the gap between a formal and a casual shirt by creating a new hybrid shirt, easy to wear and to feel at ease at any occasion. Starting from our creativity and experience, we added our research, knowledge of fabrics and the best techniques. We want our shirts to be both relaxed and elegant. This remains the true secret of any Delikatessen shirt. Mastering its construction, it becomes perfectly balanced, versatile and clean.
Our Strong Shirt is one of our signature shirts. As it is designed to wear outside your pants, it works very well as an overshirt. It is our free interpretation of a Japanese farmer shirt with its typical rounded lower hem. It is slightly cropped with a classic collar, feels comfortable and neat, with our signature relaxed Delikatessen fit and minimal detailing resulting in a fresh laidback look. Unbuttoned, the collar does not spread out, but remains in shape as it follows the natural neckline. We embroider green sizing letters at the centre back of the collar stand. They feel soft and give each shirt a personal touch.
The cuffs have two button closures and a horizontal buttonhole above, to make it easy to open and close. Cuff pleats at the back enhance the natural front look of wrists.
We apply a high density of stitches, rooted in top end Napoli classic tailoring. They provide our shirts their clean look, proper shape and strong durability. The stitching defines and sharpens the body of our shirts. In this way the shirt keeps its casual and sharp look.
As it is inspired by a Japanese farmer workwear shirt and is slightly bigger than our Feel Good shirt, we call it our Strong Shirt.
